Thunderstorms pounded North Jersey Friday morning, and flood advisories are in effect until later in the day in multiple counties. As a result of the heavy morning rainfall, parts of North Jersey dealt with power outages, with some counties already in the thousands. According to PSE&G, there are 1,562 outages in Essex County. As of 8:20 a.m., there was no estimated restoration time. Morris County also has its fair share of outages, with JCP&L reporting 1,131 outages, as well as 395 in Sussex County.
