I am in a relatively small whatsapp chat group community in Austin Texas. It is not family oriented and only has around 10 families with infants. It turns out near half the participants with small children (around 5) their child had (or has) RSV, with 3 of... See More the hospitalized. These families are not physically connected, do not join the same daycares or any other shared activity. It made me think it must be quite active in Austin. Our 3month thankfully does not have it yet. We were able to secure a vaccination with some difficulty as she was over 11lb, it was a mess trying to find some place to get it, and we were told insurance does not cover it, but we were prepared to pay.
