The City of Newton Water Department today is working on a water main along South Lafayette Street, and it expects to have the water service shut off in the following areas: West Washington Street, from Stanley to Jackson (the St. Thomas School will have water, however the St. Thomas Church and its Parish Center will not have water at this time), West Reynolds Street, from Walnut to Lafayette, Curtis Street, from 400 West Curtis to Jackson, South Walnut Street, from Jourdan to Decatur, South Lafayette, from Washington to Martin, and all of South Church Street.
