Case managers in the Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled department have been working in the office one day per week since 11-16-20, which was a reduction from 2 office days prior. This is despite the MDHHS guidelines in place that state "individuals must work from home... See More unless their work cannot feasibly be performed remotely." Employees are now being increased to two days again effective next week, 2-22-21, with the expectation to do in-person/home visits on at least one of those days. Telehealth has been in place to meet the expectations of the job remotely since the health advisory and this is still in place. CMHA-CEI's PHP continues to state that there is no change in the guidelines for the use of telehealth as a method of practice. It has been suggested by the department that case managers can have multiple in-person visits per day. Yes, PPE is provided, and the use of a screening tool is in place. An in-person visit for billing purposes is 15 minutes face-to-face. Going into homes is placing employees at risk when telehealth is an option, as well as to work remote. MIOSHA has a rule that employers have to create a policy prohibiting in-person work for employees to the extent that their work activities can feasibly be performed remotely. There have been no changes as to how this can be done remotely via telehealth per MSHN (Mid-State Health Network).

1) Staff screening temperature is being done by staff without masks on. 2) The staff conducting the screening are not asking about symptoms or checking for the checkmark for 7 weeks now. 3) The employer is refusing to allow any off site work for many departments including... Location: suite G12, ART department. 4) The employer is refusing to allow "pods" in specific departments to reduce staff members which exceeds the allowable number of persons in a space at one time on a daily basis. Location: ART department. 5) The employer does not supply hand sanitizer to the departments, staff, clients, or at entrances for employees. 6) The employer does not inform staff of the clients they will be in contact with (in person) when they are Covid-positive or having symptoms. Location: ART department. 7) At the main entrance, the employer does not read signage to those who cannot read or provide translating for those who do not speak or read English. 8) The employer is allowing visitors into the building who are not necessary support people or guardians without clinical reasoning. 9) The employer does not have an on-site cleaning crew. 10) There is no cleaning of touch points during the day, bathrooms, areas of use, waiting rooms, or have staff available after 12pm to call when needed. This is more so on the ground level where all clients are seen in person during full business hours. 11) The employer does not supply office space allowing for 6 feet of distance when meeting with clients, will not supply plexiglass barriers, wipes for pens or clipboards, or related. Larger areas are available but are not allowed by management. Location: ART department. 12) The employer does not supply offices to meet with clients that meet basic safety and security needs. Location: suites G11 - G12. 13) Sessions are being held outdoors and it's 37 degrees.

On June 30, 2020, an employee returned to work after being off for a few days. This employee had been in close contact with someone who ended up testing positive for Covid-19. The employee was tested and was negative for Covid-19. This employee did not quarantine for... See More the 14 day required period. This employee was only asked to wear an N95 respirator while at work. After being at work for another week or two, this employee was taken off work again due to Covid symptoms, but the house manager advised employees that this employee was due to come back to work, but didn't. For both occasions, this employee was not off for the 14-day mandated quarantine. Management is constantly sending the employee back to work even with symptoms.

1) The employer has refused to follow the Michigan Executive Orders regarding remote work and telehealth options. While many consumers are in need of in person services, a majority are not. Currently, when a person calls to schedule an intake or is discharged and deemed to be... See More in need of treatment within the three counties served, they are not allowed to provide the option of telehealth services. This means consumers, regardless of their desire, are required to take public or personal transportation to their appointment, check in to the lobby, be directed through the agency, and meet in person with at least 2 individuals in order to even be considered for treatment for their mental health needs. Staff are able to access the electronic medical system electronically from home. They are required to spend eight hours, five days per week on-site, not even allowed to do paperwork at home to minimize contact. 2) Staff who meet with consumers are doing so in a closed office space (6 feet distance usually) for 60-90 minutes with consumers who do not wear their masks properly with only the option of using additional PPE if concerned. This is done without clinical oversight/supervision within the units. 3) Staff are required to meet with clients even after positive COVID-19 screenings without negative follow up tests, again with the option of additional PPE only. 4) There is a complete lack of cleaning of any public spaces such as bathrooms, check in points, main community lobby, restrooms, and doorknobs or stairwells.

For 2 nights there is always corn or brownies during Bible study at 8pm at night.

My blood sugar was low and I was coughing up blood and my teeth were bleeding.

You are not required to wear mask indoors.amd of you are positive for covid 19, you are not required to wear a mask. There is a woman positive for covid 10 not wearing a mask everyday spreading her disease. Lockport Cares allows kids and married couples to stay the night also.

Lockport cares should be shut down for biohazard. Covid positive wear no masks. A mask is not required for covid positive people.
