Smith River, 95567 California, United States

Due to an approaching wildfire, Pacific Power has de-energized its transmission line serving Del Norte County, California, and the Crescent City area to protect surrounding residents and first responders. This will result in a loss of power for approximately 12,000 customers. The duration of the outage is unknown at this time. Two of the fires, the Holiday Fire and Kelly Fire, are now within half a mile of Pacific Power’s infrastructure, which poses a risk to the safety of nearby communities and first responders.
