Evergy estimates winds exceeding 80 mph went through the Kansas City area Saturday night, leaving thousands without power. The utility company posted an update early Sunday on its outage map as crews started the process of restoring power. More than 21,600 Evergy customers were without power in Johnson County, Kansas.
