Ameren Illinois crews have restored thousands of customers since Thursday when severe weather first struck. The company continues to make steady progress on restoration efforts in the wake of multiple severe weather events in the company’s service territory over the last three days. As of 12:00 p.m. July 2nd, approximately 56,000 customers are without power in the service territory. Customers are out of power in 80 Illinois counties; major outage pockets include the areas of Decatur, Springfield, Danville, Champaign, Belleville, Maryville and Columbia, Illinois.Outage link: outagemap.ameren.com/
