Audience: San Antonio Contact Center Team Members (working onsite)I want to inform you that we have a confirmed case of the COVID-19 coronavirus impacting this location. Human Resources was notified on Tuesday, May 12th that the team member left the center after experiencing symptoms, and later tested positive for the illness. We received notification of the positive results on Saturday, May 16th. Per company policy, the team member has been told that they cannot return to work until they are cleared by a healthcare provider.
Protecting the health and safety of everyone at this location is our highest priority. We initiated an immediate deep cleaning of the team member’s personal area and the lobby area upon the team member’s departure on Tuesday, May 12th. Additional daily cleaning routines were already implemented and have continued since that time.
Further, acting with an abundance of caution and in an effort to minimize the risk of spreading the virus, we have identified those team members who recently have been in contact with the impacted team member, and we are discussing quarantine options for those individuals.
I want to thank you all for your adherence to our safety measures, including maintaining social distancing, wearing a mask when in close proximity to other team members, taking the daily wellness check upon entering the center, and practicing good personal hygiene with frequent hand washing. Please continue to be diligent in practicing these important steps for your safety and the safety of your colleagues. They are working as designed to prevent the spread of the illness.
As a reminder, if you are experiencing any symptoms, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, please inform Human Resources or your Agency immediately.
Based on all of the information associated with this incident and the actions taken, we are confident that it is safe to work in the center. We do recognize that this situation may create stress and anxiety for some people. Being concerned is normal, as this outbreak is impacting all aspects of our lives. We cannot emphasize enough that we are here to help you in any way we can. Don’t be afraid to voice your concerns to your manager, Human Resources Business Partner or your Agency. Your Human Resources Business Partner is also available to answer questions. We are all in this together, and we will continue to support one another and navigate through it together.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we take the steps necessary to ensure the well-being of our team members, while allowing us to continue to support our clients with the quality service they have come to expect from Harland Clarke.
