1. The open kettle chemical baths boil at 290-300F. Employees are required to wear a cloth face mask that gets damp from the bath steam, bath chemical, and employee sweat. Along with the personal protective equipment that must be worn; the employer requires cloth masks be worn to prevent the spread of Covid-19. It is felt the cloth masks are doing more harm to employee lungs than any prevention of Covid-19. 2. In the autoclaves area there are four separate rooms which are around 100F. Employees are required to wear a cloth face mask that gets damp from the bath steam, bath chemical, and employee sweat.
