Located at Solid Structures, the employer is not implementing precautions to protect employees from contracting and spreading the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the workplace in that: 1. The employer has not developed or implemented a COVID-19 Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response Plan as required by the VOSH Final Permanent Standard (16VAC25-220). 2. The employer and employees are not wearing face coverings and the employer is not enforcing the use of face coverings to be worn. 3. The employer (owner) tested positive for COVID-19 about a week ago (end of March) and did not notify any of the employees of the positive COVID-19 case. This resulted in several employees in the office testing positive. The employer is allowing employees to continue working who have been in close contact with those employees who have tested positive for COVID-19. 4. The employer is not enforcing social distancing in the office where employees from the field crews enter and congregate in the morning. 5. Multiple employees are occupying work vehicles and the hierarchy of controls are not being used (engineering controls, administrative controls, personal protective equipment). 6. Cleaning and disinfecting products are not readily available to aid in enhanced sanitation efforts. The work vehicles are not disinfected. 7. Field crew employees are not provided hand sanitizer. 8. The employer is allowing sick employees to report and remain at work. 9. The employer is not conducting any pre-shift surveying or monitoring of employees for COVID-19 symptoms. 10. The employer has not provided any COVID-19 training to employees or training related to VOSH's Final Permanent Standard. 11. The employer has not reported any of the three COVID-19 cases to VDH or VOSH.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2021-04-02
