Regulatory Report
1840 Amherst Street, Winchester, 22601 Virginia, United States
It is alleged that the employer is claiming that there is a shortage of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and that employees who are issued N95 facemasks are required to use the same mask for months. Masks are periodically sent for sanitation but the same mask is used indefinitely even when working with known Covid-19 patients. If a doctor decides to test a patient on the floor it is the hospital's recommendation that employees caring for that patient wear a surgical face mask and shield while in the room. N95's are not permitted in that case. Aside from the lack of appropriate PPE there in inconsistent knowledge of hospital policy among the staff which indicates a training problem when it comes to policy and procedure. One person says one thing on one day and the next day someone else says something different for the same question.Alleged Hazards: 2, Employees Exposed: 150
