I ordered some fabric samples on Etsy from an upholsterer in China and paid using PayPal. Received them within two weeks. I could tell the package had been shipped from China to what I assumed was a person in the US acting as a distributor, who relabeled... See More it using this 1950 East Touhy address, so it could be shipped via USPS out to me. At the time I didn't even think of Googling the address, because I have seen this done before, even with Amazon. Yesterday I received a similar package (same size padded envelope, shipping label identical except for return address) with only a computer-generated note enclosed saying my order was on the way. This package came from another known scam address (5572 Silver Hill Road, Bryan TX 77807). I am convinced the two packages are related, either to this Etsy seller or to the "distributor" person who relabeled the package samples and sent it to me. I still don't completely understand how this scam works, especially with a purchase from a legit website, but nevertheless, I have changed my PayPal password and will report my suspicions to Etsy. I ordered a pair of deer statues from MyDiscounts on Facebook and received an cheap pair of sunglasses from 1950 East Touhy Ave Des Plains IL. The web sites says they are located in Ca. how ever the email I got said it was being shipped from... See More China. Now they are saying it has been delivered, but all that was sent to me was the sunglasses . You can't tell me FB can't do something about these scam ads!
