Regulatory Report
1515 Howard Street, Petoskey, 49770 Michigan, United States
Employer is not following covid-19 protocols on training, cleaning, masks, social distancing, health screening, and working remotely to keep employees safe with the reopening of campus on August 10, 2020: Training: Employees were required to complete two, 10-minute training modules on ¿Coronavirus Awareness¿ and ¿Coronavirus: Cleaning and Disinfecting your Workplace.¿ No training on masks, social distancing, and on how to report unsafe working conditions. Cleaning: No enhanced cleaning measures, aside from giving staff cleaning supplies to clean their own areas. No written plan for cleaning. The restrooms appear to be dirtier than before the covid-19 pandemic. Masks: Masks are not required when working at desks. Employees do not wear masks outside their workspaces as required. No proper and consistent signage that face masks are required to enter the buildings. The administrators have stated the wearing of masks will not be enforced, and encourage masks be worn when six feet of separation cannot be guaranteed. It is up to each individual and department to use masks as they feel comfortable. Administrators believe EO 2020-153 does not apply because the campus is not a ¿public space¿ when it is not open to the public. Social Distancing: Very little and inconsistent signage indicating where six feet from individual workspaces. Employees are encouraged to use technology, such as Zoom, to hold meetings; across campus face to face meetings are being held. Health Screenings: Human resources director states employees are not required to conduct health screenings. It is suggested employees use the MI Symptoms web app as a self-monitoring tool. Many staff are not doing health screenings and those who have failed the health screenings have not been alerted by human resources until hours or days after failing the screening. No CDC personal hygiene signage. Remote work is not being allowed when it is possible.3 weeks ago •reported by user-fypnv651 • details
