Lake Wales, Florida, United States

The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) has experienced a loss of water service to all Rosalie Oaks System customers due to a loss of electrical service at the Rosalie Oaks Water Treatment Plant due to Hurricane Ian. The service was first reported as interrupted at approximately noon today. Following restoration of service, a Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory will be in effect, and will be rescinded once water samples taken to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory indicate that the water is safe to drink, typically 48 hours after restoration of water service.
