So you want to know what it’s like to have Covid-19? April 18/19 I started having symptoms (picked it up at work). Typical onset. Sore throat, cough, fever. Shortness of breath kicked in a day or two after. Suddenly going up a set of stairs was extremely difficult, and while I was totally exhausted, sleeping was very tough due to breathing. This got worse about a week in, where my doctor suggested I go to ER to get X-rays on chest to see if there is pneumonia (luckily no pneumonia). Had these symptoms for about 3+ weeks, until I started to feel better with cough, sore throat, and breathing. Fever and headache were sticking around though. About a month in, with sudden onset, GI symptoms showed up. My doctor then thought I should get a CT scan to rule out Diverticulitis just in case(no diverticulitis, all just Covid and post Covid symptoms). These symptoms took about a week or 10 days to pass. But they did. Finally after about 6 weeks of total, I am starting to feel better. Still exhausted, still have a low grade fever, but nothing like before. Then last week, I started to feel some fluttering in my chest. I get an EKG and some stuff pops up that is out of the norm. So I have a bunch of testing this upcoming week and a half to make sure my heart is good (and it may not be). I am 27 years old, have no prior underlying medical conditions and probably will have long term effects from Covid-19.
