A utility pole fell down Friday amid power outages in Parsippany. Officials closed Changebridge Road in Montville between Bloomfield Avenue and Route 46 West.

The outage for 1,059 customers affected 4.4 percent of Parsippany.

The outages began around 4 a.m. mainly in northern New Jersey, with Jersey Central Power and Light and Public Service Electric and Gas Company reporting a combined 28,000 customers without power.
