It is not possible to provide quality patient care if there is a delay in obtaining PPE or if PPE is denied. This is not safe for the nursing staff who may become exposed to infectious disease. The reuse of disposable PPE also presents a patient safety risk. Nursing staff are not adequately protected when PPE is not readily available.
