There are also more than 100 without power near Pinhook Park in South Bend and more than 100 without power in areas of Sodus Township. Midwest Energy & Communications is reporting most of its just over 100 outages in Van Buren County, Mich. NIPSCO is reporting more than 5,400 outages, with most of them reported in parts of northwest Indiana outside of our viewing area. However, there are large outages in LaPorte (167).

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) has restored power to thousands in the River Park neighborhood of South Bend who were in the dark starting late Wednesday evening. Crews from I&M worked overnight to get power restored for residents by the early hours of Thursday morning.
