About 6,200 customers were without power early Friday morning, Apr 12 in West Oahu. Impacted areas included Haleiwa, Kapolei, Kawailoa, Makaha, Makakilo, Melemanu, Mokuleia, Nanakuli, Pupukea, Sunset Beach, Wahiawa, Waialua, and Waianae. Power was restored around 8:00 a.m.
Hawaiian Electric has restored power to over a thousand customers on Oahu’s North Shore. According to HECO, about 1,276 were without power on Thursday, Nov. 30 after the outage was reported at around 11:30 a.m. The following areas were impacted: Haleʻiwa, Helemano, Keana Point, Mokuleia, Waialua.
Kamehameha Highway is closed in both directions between Haleiwa and Laniakea due to a downed tree on power lines, according to the Hawaii Department of Transportation.
