1. The only temporary shop restroom that is in use always get flooded when it rains. The main restroom clogged up and the employer placed a "Do Not Enter" sign on it over 2 years ago. Employees are worried of contracting a disease or illness such as … See More
but not limited to COVID-19. 2. Employees are required to carry heavy pieces of granite across the floor, which has exposed holes that are up to 2 feet deep and wide enough for a foot to get in. This condition exposes employees to trip and fall hazards. 3. The walking and working surfaces in the shop are not kept in a clean and orderly manner due to hoses and random trash found all over the floor. 4. When rainwater collects on the shop floor, extension cords are submerged in the standing water, exposing employees to electrical hazard. 5. The 2 overhead cranes and the forklift have never been inspected. These equipment are used to lift and move granite slabs weighing approximately 1000lbs throughout the shop. 6. Employees operating the forklift and the 2 overhead cranes are not trained to operate the equipment. 7. In the front left section of the shop, the storage racks and/or stands for the full granite slabs that weigh about 700-1200lbs are rusted and unstable. Approximately 20 granite slabs are placed of the rusty and unstable racks/stands.
