Severe thunderstorms sweeping across north Mobile County knocked down trees and knocked out power to thousands of Alabama Power customers Friday morning. The severe weather left 19,000 customers without power in southwest Alabama, including 6,500 in Mobile County, 2,300 in Citronelle and 200 in Saraland.
