A power outage knocked electricity in downtown Toms River and along Routes 37 and 35 on Friday, Mar 1st According to officials, a crash happened at about 1:00 p.m. in the Seaside Heights area. The vehicle hit a utility pole that carries high-voltage transmission lines. The outage affected about 200 customers in the area.
