Over 7,000 customers across Utah were left without power Saturday due to widespread outages affecting the state. According to Rocky Mountain Power, the outages were caused by the heavy snowfall and strong winds brought on by Saturday's storm system. The most affected areas are Salt Lake City with about 2,000 customers impacted, there are also scattered power outages in South Jordan. Saturday morning, Rocky Mountain Power was reporting 1,861 customers affected in Tooele and surrounding areas.
