A snapped guy wire led to a power outage overnight for more than 1,000 customers. The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday, March 28 when the driver of a pickup truck — traveling on Old County Road near the intersection of West Meadow Road. Homes and businesses in Thomaston, Rockland and Rockport were affected from the power outage.
