Over 6,000 customers were affected by a power outage extending from Old Colorado City to the Broadmoor area after after a transformer at the Yampa Street substation tripped offline. The outage was first reported by Colorado Springs Utilities just after 4:30 a.m., affecting nearly 9,000 customers. Power has been restored to the area.
