Power outages were reported in the St. Louis area. As of 6:55 a.m., water on area highways was still causing issues on both sides of the river, and more than 1,000 customers were without power in the St. Louis area. In Chester, Illinois, State Street was closed due to downed power lines. According to Ameren Illinois, about 1,000 customers in the area were without power due to the downed lines.
