I received the Moderna vaccine on 12/30/2020 (healthcare worker)

Day 1 - Soreness in arm, slight flu like symptoms and slight headache

Day 2 - Continuation of very slight flu like symptoms and slight headache, soreness in arm down

Day 3 - Soreness gone almost completely, symptoms gone and feel normal

Day 4 - Soreness gone

Day 5 - No symptoms, but at night (last night) I woke up to chills/flu like symptoms worse than the initial symptoms on days 1 and 2. No fever (temp taken) although I felt like I had a mild one, also had slight muscle aches and a headache.

Day 6 (Today) - Took work off. I feel better than last night but still have a slight headache and feeling a little bit off.

I'm a bit confused because my symptoms resolved on days 3 and 4 but then last night I had symptoms again. Is it possible for a vaccine's side effects to wax and wane like that? Is it just my body's immune response? I considered that I possibly got sick but I have absolutely no fever, no sore throat, no shortness of breath, etc and my partner I live with (who has not been vaccinated yet) feels fine.

This vaccine is a godsend and I would encourage everyone to get vaccinated and DO NOT believe the misinformation about it changing your DNA👎🏻 It is impossible for any VACCINATION to change your DNA.
The mRNA vaccine prompts you own immune system to make it’s own antigen against the virus. This technology is absolutely amazing.
Do your research on mRNA vaccines and it will blow your mind. So exciting for the future.
A lot of effort went in to getting this vaccine along with the Pfizer vaccine out to the American citizens and I feel like it has been politicized to death. I know MANY people who have had both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines with no issues. If you have concerns about your ability to get the vaccine, talk to your Doctor, PA or NP.

See Moreks, I had a sore arm after six hours, a headache the next day and was tired. I took a tylenol for the headache and sore arm. All of the side effects resolved within 48 hours. I can certainly put up with those symptoms in comparison to getting and sharing the actual disease with my cardiac patients that are high risk for bad outcomes. The tylenol helped my symptoms and getting a little extra sleep helped the tiredness. See Less”

“I got Negative Covid-19 Labcorp test before and after the J&J vaccine. I was unblinded also and did get the vaccine (I knew i did- I had a 103 fever). I tested ab positive 29 days after.
