T8CCR 5199- We are working with Covid-19 positive patients and assessing those that might have Covid-19 throughout this pandemic. We are made fun of by other employees for wearing PPE, some providers stopped using PPE, PPE is worn to see Covid-19 patients and then worn into the Nurse and Doctor's room, we are forced to see patients that are Covid-19 positive or with Covid symptoms but not yet tested in non HEPA filtered no airflow small rooms that are not cleaned thoroughly. We often find out after seeing a patient in these rooms that they are Covid-19 positive. We have asked to see most patients in the safer setting of their car or via telehealth or in the tent area but have been told that we can resign if we are afraid to see these patients inside. We have been chastised for being too afraid based on our age. After bringing up concerns, I have been inappropriately investigated for unrelated issues that were determined to be of no merit. We are 10 people in a conference room sitting shoulder to shoulder without social distancing or HEPA filtration and with many staff with active coughs. Pediatric patients that re Covid-19 positive are walked through our workspace to get XRAYS unnecessarily since they are sent to the hospital anyway. Nebulizers are used unnecessarily in non filtered rooms. Staff return to work coughing because we are only allowed unpaid quarantine. We are not offered contact tracing nor testing but there are known positive staff. All of these problems are solvable but our employer instead yells at me when I voice my concerns and changes my work schedule to overlap with my other job and says that I can resign if I want to.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2020-12-12
