Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF SEATTLE/SO KING CTY, 1185 Andover Park W, TUKWILA, WA, 98188, USA

5 years ago business

1185 Andover Park West, Tukwila, 98188 Washington, United States

'- I work multiple postions throughout the Habitat Store from incoming and outgoing of donations, cash register to going on out the truck and physically picking up customer donations and dropping them off at either our Bellevue or Auburn locations. Upon arrival of my first few weeks I noticed how dirty the store looks from the parking to the breakroom. - Head count isn't kept when customers walk in, our temperatures just recently started getting taken its not everyday when they remember they do it - We are required to pick up all donations no matter the size, I had to load 250-300lbs windows without a loading dock or proper moving equipment (will provide picture) A few (2-4) weeks ago we had an employee come to work sick verbally saying he's sick - a blind person could tell he was sick and he was still allowed to come to work as normal without any worry from management. He ended up staying home for about a week or so then returned back to work, his Covid-19 results came back positive. The managers initially didn't warn or inform any of us we woke up to a group chat saying the store is closed. The next day we find out that our Bellevue and Auburn store had outbreaks as well and they closed their doors as well, I'm not 100% clear on how they decided to russian roulette the employees to see who worked and who didn't but during this time I'm riding on the truck and they made my driver and I drop donations off to all three locations, our store was closed to the public and somehow I was the lucky one to insert myself into an unsafe situation My other co-workers that were in the store at the same time as the infected employee all haven't been back to work since early October when we ask about them they tend to sweep it under the rug, we'll have outbreaks from time to time and they'll close the store down temporarily to "disinfect" I've never once seen anyone clean and that goes for the daily cleanliness of the store as well I apologize for not knowing my managers last names but I do know their first names and phone numbers. I also told one other co-worker (he quit today 11/5/20) but he said he has no problem. I'll have an detailed email attached - An employee was working while visibly sick and continued to work, his Covid-19 results came back positive the day of the positive test results we were all in the breakroom talking without our masks on sharing coffee and eating donuts - Certain employee were chosen to stay home and others were elected to come in and work as normal - During the outbreaks we were told to tell customers and other personal we were closed to clean and sanitize which we didn't - Shopping carts, card readers and other high traffic areas are not cleaned or disinfected throughout the day - During a recent sale we had there was approximately 90 people in our store, social distancing requirements were not being followed - When we do our donation pickups it says in the email that we do not enter homes, but they make us grab donations out of people garages, we got multiple boxes of KN95 mask from Virginia Mason and instead of distributing them to their workers they put a price tag on them and said we could use our employee discount to purchase - Bathrooms, breakroom, and other areas of the store are not maintained
