The whole city of Medical Lake is under a Level 3 evacuation due to a 9,500-acre wildfire, according to the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR). A boil water advisory is in effect for Medical Lake and Strathview residents. It will remain in effect until further notice. This means that residents should not drink water without boiling it first, as the wildfire has affected water treatment and pumping operations at city facilities.
