Hillside Lane, Estes Park, 80517 Colorado, United States

A water main break in downtown Estes Park near the intersection of Moraine and Elkhorn Avenues sent a torrent of water and brown sludge east toward Bond Park Tuesday night. The Town of Estes Park emailed an advisory at 1 a.m. Wednesday recommending that people in certain affected areas boil water for 3 minutes prior to drinking. Those areas included the neighborhood North of Big Thompson Avenue and south of Devils Gulch Road from Dry Gulch Road to MacGregor Avenue, and the area along the Wonderview Avenue and Fall River Road corridors, including the Stanley Hotel complex, Fall River Estates, and McGregor Mountain Lodge.
