One of our employees was in quarantine with her children whom were positive with covid on 10/16 for 7 days. The children weren't allowed back at school until 11/8 so she took them to their dad's house so she could return back to work on 10/26. She

worked the week even though she started feeling poorly on Weds. and said it was nothing but that she wasn't feeling good. They tested positive for covid on 11/2. Our employer is allowing her to return to work on 11/10. I thought people with covid had to be quarantined for 14 days? They also operate their attendance policy on a points based system. According to recent policy changes, they are allowing people 1 week of covid leave and not deducting points. However, if you are out any longer than 1 week, they will start deducting points against you. This system does not allow for people to safely recover and forces people to come back to work regardless of how they feel. There is also another office in Auburn that has 3 positive people in the office. They too were only allowed 1 week of time off before they were forced to come back to work. Midwest Eye Consultants has recklessly exposed their other staff members to covid due to their careless policies regarding covid and recovery. HR knowing that they have a high risk person in the office, still allowed them to return to work after 1 week of exposure without a covid test to prove they did not have symptoms. The following week, they tested positive. I feel that Midwest failed to keep us safe by not keeping them out of the office long enough to ensure that they would or would not develop symptoms after their exposure. They are also failing to keep them off work long enough to minimize our exposure yet again.
