Update January 29th, 2026:Wegmans Food Markets has issued a related retail recall notice for select Qunol turmeric supplements sold specifically at Wegmans locations.
According to Wegmans, the affected products include:

January 25th, 2026:
Quten Research Institute LLC has initiated a voluntary recall of its Qunol Extra Strength Turmeric Capsules due to mold contamination in raw material lots. The affected products were distributed across multiple states in the United States (TX, FL, CA, NC, MI, MN, VA, NJ, MA, OH, IL, AL, CT, TN, NY, MO, PA, RI, SC, OK, GA, MN, WI, NV, IN, IA, CO, LA, NC, OR, KY and DE).
The recall involves:
- Qunol Extra Strength Turmeric Capsules (1000mg)
- Available in 60-count and 120-count HDPE bottles.
- Specific lot numbers include 12811C120, 12811C120BJ, and 12811C60.
- The UPC codes and best-before dates were not provided.
- A total of 42.740 units were affected.
The issue was discovered due to mold contamination in raw materials produced in July. The recall was initiated on December 16, 2025, and classified on January 23, 2026, as Class II. The recall is ongoing.
