1. Recently there have been positive cases of Covid-19 in the housekeeping department and the management has hidden this the information from the other workers who have been direct contact with the Covid-19 patients. 2. The positive cases or those who have presented some symptoms without being
positive have been coached not say anything to the rest of the workers. Management has told them, ¿YOU ARE FORBIDDEN TO SAY THAT YOU ARE SICK OR THAT YOU FEEL BAD. THEREFORE IF YOU DO IT, YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS AT WORK ¿. 3. They are forcing us to work 12,13,14 and up to 15 hours of work on weekends. Even to those people who for health and even personal reasons need to be home after 8 hours of work. Additional complaint comments: The situation at Massanutten Resort, specifically in the Housekeeping department is almost unbearable, between the high level of labor exploitation of us as employees by the administration and the complicit silence in relation to the mismanagement of the COVID-19 Regulations to help prevent and mitigate the occurrence of COVID-19 in the work place. The risk of a massive contagion is imminent. In addition, the housekeeping employees are Latino for the most part, with a large percentage of these workers who do not speak English and who have very little knowledge of Safety and Health laws in Virginia.
