FirstEnergy Corp. reports that about 1,450 of its Portage County customers were without power as of 4:07 p.m. Thursday. This includes more than 1,000 in Palmyra Township, about 300 and 100 respectively in Deerfield and Paris townships and much smaller numbers in several other communities.
