About 7,500 Versant Power customers in the city were without power because of a squirrel’s contact with electrical equipment, according to the utility. Versant announced the outage shortly before 11 a.m., and power had been restored to all but about 500 customers within an hour.
Sunday morning. The outage happened about 7:39 a.m. and is affecting 5,929 customers as of 8 a.m in part of Stillwater Avenue and in the Little City, Bangor Gardens and Tree Streets neighborhoods.
A manager was ill for several days before testing positive for COVID-19. Policies and procedures do not follow guidance with the CDC. This is a possible violation of the general duty clause 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

A power outage is affecting most of Bangor following an issue at the Broadway substation, Versant officials said Friday afternoon. The outage so far is impacting 7,587 people with no power stretching from downtown to the eastern parts of the city.
Versant Power crews have restored electricity to most of its affected customers in Bangor. They say only 89 customers are still without power. About 3000 residents reported a loss of power around 6:45 Wednesday morning.
