A boil water order has been issued for an area just north of Wilmington Wednesday afternoon. The affected areas are roughly between Wilson Road, Silverside Road, and I-95. The boil advisory is in place because of a break in the water distribution line on Carr Road.

Tropical Storm Ophelia approached hurricane-level intensity as it reached land on Saturday. It has since been unleashing strong winds and heavy rainfall resulting in power outages in at least seven states.
