We only give our dogs rawhide free treats, especially SmartBones. One of the two throws up daily and there are little pieces of the treat in her vomit.

Power is out for thousands Friday as strong winds bring down trees, including trees that are covered in ice after storms. Eversource is reporting more than 9,000 power outages. Most are in Tolland, Mansfield, New Hartford, Glastonbury, Stamford and Coventry.

As of 7:45 a.m., Eversource reported more than 8,360 customers without power. It recorded Guilford with more than 600 outages and Ledyard with nearly 1,600 outages. United Illuminating reported 2,390 outages, mostly in Fairfield.
