Due to the nature of the work employees perform in the warehouse, social distancing is not feasible for these employees. In addition, the Employer is not effectively disinfecting commonly used areas, particularly after employees test positive for the COVID-19 virus. California Code of Regulations, Title 8, Section 3380. Personal Protective Devices. The Employer does not enforce the use of face coverings at the workplace. Complainant notes: Complainant's son is an EE at the facility. He recently stopped working at the facility, as he does not want to risk getting his immune-compromised mother ill. They do not feel the ER is taking effective precautions to prevent EEs from becoming infected with the virus. -EEs cannot social distance in the warehouse. 2-3 EEs have to go inside a trailer to remove items -no social distancing. -Several EEs quit due to ER's COVID-19 practices - positive EEs, and ER has not closed plant down
