Water customers in Vienna were alerted of a water outage on Wednesday morning. According to The Vienna Police Department, because of new water main connections, businesses and residents on the east side of Vienna City Park will be out of water for about seven hours on February... 7. After service is back on, there will be a boil water order in effect for affected customers until further notice.
DC Water Lifts Boil Water Advisory for all affected customers – Effective 5:00 a.m. January 21, 2024. Water lifted the boil water advisory after tests confirmed that drinking water meets all water quality safety standards.
The District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (DC Water) issued a Boil Water Advisory today for some customers that are or have had loss of water pressure on Friday, January 19, 2024. This is a precautionary notice to customers in the impacted area to boil water... that may be ingested due to water of unknown quality in this localized area of the system. Do not drink the water without boiling it first. An electrical service disruption was reported in Onondaga County after a utility pole got fire in the area of Collamer Road near Collamer Crossings Parkway and Aspen Park Boulevard. One outage spans from the area of Fyler Road near the border of Onondaga and Madison Counties to... around Maxwell Park in East Syracuse. Another smaller outage in the same area is impacting about 300 customers.

The Florida Department of Health has recently issued a public advisory regarding the water quality at Bowditch Point Park, citing concerns about its safety for swimming. Routine testing conducted by health officials has revealed elevated levels of bacteria in the waters of both Cape Coral Yacht Club... and Bowditch Point Park.
Specifically, the recreational water quality at these locations did not meet the established criteria for Enterococcus bacteria. This discovery raises concerns about potential health risks associated with exposure to contaminated water. The contamination sources are currently under investigation, with stormwater runoff, pets, wildlife, and sewage being identified as possible contributors to the elevated bacteria levels.
As a result, the Florida Department of Health strongly advises against swimming or any direct contact with the water at Bowditch Point Park until further notice. To address the situation, the Florida Department of Health will be conducting additional water quality tests at Bowditch Point Park.

The brand new Geist Waterfront Park beach, a popular summer destination, has been temporarily closed due to elevated levels of E. coli bacteria found in the water.
The beach's water quality is routinely monitored on a weekly basis. The presence of three natural springs and six industrial-sized... aerators in the cove aims to enhance water movement and improve overall water quality. However, external factors such as extremely hot weather and heavy rainfall can contribute to increased levels of E. coli.
They are awaiting the latest results to determine if the beach will reopen.

Over the past month, local residents have witnessed a distressing decline in water quality, accompanied by an overpowering, repugnant odor. The root cause of this unsettling change was a sudden and extensive proliferation of algae, casting an unsettling shadow over the park.
The city of Titusville responded... to the growing concerns by conducting several tests in the affected area. The results of these tests unveiled a concerning reality: high levels of Escherichia coli bacteria, commonly known as E. coli, had contaminated the waters. This discovery marked a distressing turning point, as the once-enjoyable park turned into an ecological concern.
Locals residing near Scobie Park also begun reporting adverse health effects, including extreme migraines and headaches, a sore and itchy throat, and a couple of bacterial infections. Other reported symptoms include burning of the eyes, nostrils, and ears, nausea, vomiting, and more.
There is a concerning possibility: persistent sewage leaks could be at the heart of the problem. The city of Titusville is set to begin work on repairing its old sewage infrastructure and has started its efforts to get the situation at Scobie Park under control.

Due to a damaged JEA water main on U.S. 1 in southern Duval County, customers in that area and Northeast St. Johns County are experiencing low-pressure water or water outages. Consequently, homes in this area are issued a boil water notice effective 3:30 p.m, August 22. This... includes, but is not limited to, the Twin Creeks, Beacon Lakes, Walden Chase, Palencia, Las Calinas, Florentine and Kensington communities.
