Strong winds blew through Maine Monday night into Tuesday morning, knocking out power to thousands of customers.

At 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, Central Maine Power reported 13,262 customers without service. By 9:30 a.m. only about 2,300 outages remained. Most were in York County.
