Four thousand PG&E customers will be affected by a planned power outage in Manton and Shingletown areas starting May 26. The planned power outage will happen so PG&E can perform maintenance and upgrades at the Volta substation near Manton. The outage will go from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.

Electricity is out in the area around Ramona Street between Carmelita Way and Higuera Avenue in Pinole after a truck crashed into a power pole, according to the Pinole Police Department. The crash took down several power poles, resulting in the power going out.
