Equipment issues led to some power outages around the Columbus area Monday morning. AEP said Monday morning that equipment issues caused three major outages. An outage in the Linworth area occurred at 7 a.m. and affected 5,618 customers. An issue at a nearby substation caused an outage in the Blendon Woods area at 8:45 a.m, affecting almost 2,300 customers. Another substation issue caused about 5,200 customers to lose power in the Frank Road and Harrisburg Pike area.
