On June 21, 2024, a single-vehicle crash into a power pole near Harrison Street and Middleton Street in Thermal, California caused a power outage affecting Thermal and La Quinta, with nearly all power restored by 6:21 p.m. However, 106 customers remained without electricity, and restoration efforts were ongoing with an estimated completion time of 6 to 10 hours.Outage link: myaccount.iid.com/portal/outeroutage.aspx
