More than 4,300 were without power as of 3:40 p.m. May 18 in Somerset and surrounding areas south of Highway 50. PG&E’s outage map showed customers affected from northernmost Camino to River Pines in the south, as well as impacted areas out to Grizzly Flat. PG&E officials say they are investigating the cause of the outage as of press time. The company’s outage website states it began around 10 a.m. Power is expected to be back on at 8:57 p.m.

Electricity is out in the area around Ramona Street between Carmelita Way and Higuera Avenue in Pinole after a truck crashed into a power pole, according to the Pinole Police Department. The crash took down several power poles, resulting in the power going out.

Thousands of people in the north metro are without power Wednesday morning. The Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association said 3,628 customers near Maple Grove are experiencing an outage. Power was restored at 11:00 am.
