A powerful line of storms that swept through Washtenaw County Monday evening left thousands without power, that included large swaths of territory north of Ann Arbor, parts of Dexter and pieces of both Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, according to a DTE outage map. As of 7:30 a.m., DTE Energy reported more than 240,000 customers across its southeast Michigan service area without power after winds gusted up to 70 mph Monday when storms rolled through. As of 9:30am on Tuesday electricity was out in downtown Dexter.
