Strong winds and driving rain knocked out power to a large portion of the City of Coldwater Thursday morning, with much of the out county area also without electricity because of the storm.Almost 12,000 of the 15,400 Consumers Energy customers in Branch County lost power because of the heavy thunderstorm that knocked down trees and power lines and scattered debris across roadways.
