More than one million Duke Energy customers are without power Friday morning, September 27 as Hurricane Helene moves over the Carolinas. More than 96,000 outages have been reported in the Charlotte area on Friday. According to the outage map, the most affected areas are:Mecklenburg: 104,649 customers affected.
Henderson: 68,240 customers affected.
Gaston: 32,761 customers affected.
Cleveland: 32,479 customers affected.
Rutherford: 28,715 customers affected.
Mcdowell: 19,265 customers affected.
Caldwell: 16,776 customers affected.
Union: 14,901 customers affected.
Rowan: 11,398 customers affected.
Catawba: 11,393 customers affected.
Cabarrus: 11,021 customers affected.
