As heavy wind and rain from Tropical Storm Debby pass over Southeastern North Carolina, power outages are being reported. As of 8:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, more than 113,000 customers were affected across the state. According to Duke Energy's outage map at 10:00 a.m. The most affected areas are:Mecklenburg County: 18,762 customers affected.
Forsyth County: 9,647 customers affected.
Guilford County: 7,113 customers affected.
Orange County: 5,567 customers affected.
Rowan County: 4,998 customers affected.
Wake County: 4,773 customers affected.
Gaston County: 4,419 customers affected.
Lee County: 3,129 customers affected.
