All lanes of Central Avenue were closed Thursday morning due to a crash involving a dump truck that resulted in hundreds of power outages in the area. The crash occurred near the intersection of Central Avenue and Sharon Amity Road just before 8 a.m. Nearly 800 Duke Energy customers were without power as of 9 a.m., according to the company’s outage map. Electricity service is expected to be restored between 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., depending on exact location in the area, notices on the outage site said.
